Delete Acccount

Functionality: The Delete Account feature allows users to permanently remove their account and all associated data from the WeLove application. This action is irreversible, meaning once the account is deleted, users will lose access to their account, messages, and any other data tied to it.

Navigation Path:

• Profile: Users start by navigating to their profile.
• Help Center: From the profile section, users will find the Help Center option.
• Delete Account: Within the Help Center, there is an option for Delete Account.

Process:

1. Request Deletion: When users select the Delete Account option, they will be prompted to confirm their decision. This may include warnings about the permanence of this action and any data that will be lost.
2. 30-Day Grace Period: Once the deletion request is confirmed, the account will be scheduled for permanent deletion after a 30-day grace period. During this period, the user can cancel the deletion request if they change their mind by logging back into their account.
3. Final Deletion: If the user does not cancel the request within the grace period, the account and all associated data will be permanently deleted from WeLove's servers.

User Experience: This feature is designed for users who wish to take a break from the app or completely remove their presence from the platform. It is important for users to understand that deletion is a serious decision, and they should consider if they might want to return to the app in the future.

Functionality: The Deactivate Profile feature allows users to temporarily hide their profile from other users without permanently deleting their account. This means that users can take a break from the app while retaining the ability to return to their account later.

• Hide Profile: Within Preferences, there is an option to Hide Profile.

Process:

1. Select Hide Profile: When users select the Hide Profile option, they will be informed that their profile will be completely invisible to other users. This includes hiding their pictures, bio, and any other profile information.
2. Temporary Deactivation: While their profile is hidden, users will not receive any messages or calls from other users. This provides an opportunity to step away from the app without losing any data.
3. Reactivation: Users can reactivate their profile at any time by returning to the Preferences section and selecting the option to show their profile again. All previously stored data, including messages and preferences, will be restored.

User Experience: This feature is ideal for users who may want to take a break from dating or social interactions without losing their account. It allows for flexibility in using the app, as users can return whenever they are ready.
